    The White River Trail is a bit complex to understand. It’s on Lake Taneycomo’s south side but within the Table Rock State Park Territory. You can ask for a map from your hotel’s front desk to chart out the trail you will take. The trail offers scenic views of the waterfalls, Lake Taneycomo and Table Rock Lake, and a farmstead. The good. The Shellrock Lake Trail # begins here and visits both Hideaway Lake and Shellrock Lake before joining the Grouse Point Trail near the Frazier Trailhead. Many people use the trail as their access point to the Rock Lakes Basin and Serene Lake because the road track in to the Frazier Trailhead can be ruinous to any but high-clearance vehicles.

    The Brainard Lake Recreational Area has so much to do, but this is a stop not to miss. It seems that everyone drives on by this little gem to get to Brainard Lake and the hiking trails. This is definitely worth the stop and great for sunrise or sunset shots. Check out all the beautiful hiking trails past Brained Lake while you are there. White Rock Lake Trail is one of the most pawpular trails for biking, jogging, and dog walking in Dallas. This mile paved trail takes you in a loop around scenic White Rock Lake, providing great views the whole way through. Dogs are welcome on this furrific trail on-leash. Be sure to bring water to share and clean up bags for the journey.

    Black Rock Lake Trail. mile loop. Rated easy. The loop around scenic Black Rock Lake, completed in , is a wonderful addition to the park’s trail system. The acre lake is unspoiled by development and is rimmed by forests of white pine and yellow poplar.   This large campground is found in Rock Lake Provincial Park. It is 7 km west on Hinton on Hwy. 16, 40 km northwest on Hwy. 40 and 35 km west on a gravel access road. Here there are a variety of well-spaced sites with trees for privacy. Enjoy awe-inspiring views of Alberta's Northern Rockies while fishing, boating, mountain biking or hiking.

The trail is then pretty tame until the start of the Hildebrand Lake Loop at N4. Hildebrand Lake Loop is at the southwestern end of the Rock Lake trail and begins with a small loose rock ride-over.

Along with Rock Lake, there are a ton of other trails in the area that can be linked together for some truly epic days on the bike.The Gray Rock Lakes Trail climbs above Gray Rock Lake while a spur continues around the lake.

The fork is difficult to find if the ground cover obscures the trail. No sign marks the junction. If one misses the junction and continues around to the southern shore of Gray Rock Lake, then the junction has been missed.

Simply backtrack watching.The White Rock Creek/Lake Trail is without question both the longest and the most heavily-used trail in North Texas. The trail has a total length of miles with the portion of the trail that encompasses the lake having a length of miles and the portion of the trail that begins at Hillcrest/LBJ Freeway in North Dallas having a length of miles.
